I hope you had a meaningful Thanksgiving. Even in a season focused on gratitude, the news cycle has pushed many of the people we serve, and even some of our own team, into the center of a painful national conversation.
Many of our clients are feeling anxious. Most have only recently arrived and are working hard to build their new lives. The recent news about potential re-interviews for refugee status and the suspension of green card processing has been a shock, adding new layers of uncertainty at a time when those who came to America for safety should feel supported, welcomed, and at home.
At Canopy, our commitment has not changed. We stand with New Arkansans, and we will walk beside them through whatever comes.
