Dear {{First Name}},
This year, Canopy turns 10!
In April 2016, we received our nonprofit status. In December 2016, we stood at the airport to welcome our first refugee family to Northwest Arkansas. What started as a community’s commitment to welcome has grown into a movement of belonging.
Ten years later, nearly 1,000 new neighbors have rebuilt their lives here. They are employees and employers, entrepreneurs and students, artists and advocates, volunteers and citizens. They are contributing to the economic vitality, cultural richness, and resilience of our region every single day.
And behind every arrival is a powerful network of support including more than 1,000 volunteers, interns, donors, employers, teachers, healthcare professionals, faith leaders, and government partners who chose to show up. You are part of that story.
The last year has tested us. But it has not defined us. We stand strong, and our community is stronger because we have chosen welcome, dignity, and opportunity again and again.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary decade. I hope you will join us throughout this milestone year as we celebrate 10 years of welcome and build the next 10 together.

In Black History Month, we honor legacy. We remember giants. But we also celebrate the quiet excellence unfolding around us in labs, classrooms, and coffee shops on ordinary Fridays.
African excellence is not rare. It is here. It is resilient. It is humble. It carries family on its shoulders. It competes globally while staying rooted locally.
We invite you to read the story of Anzuruni and his journey here.
