Greetings on this beautiful spring day,
Nearly ten years ago this month, Canopy NWA received its nonprofit status in the state of Arkansas. From the very beginning, this was never just an organization. It was a community’s call to action, and the community responded.
With your support, we have weathered changes in administration, navigated the uncertainty of the COVID era, responded to the humanitarian efforts after the fall of Kabul, and so much more. We are still here because our community placed its trust in us and we worked to honor that trust every step of the way.
Since our founding, Canopy has resettled almost 1,000 refugees right here in Northwest Arkansas. Our new neighbors have worked hard, built lives, and in doing so, have made all of us better. Their stories of resilience, perseverance, and hope are woven into the fabric of this region.
We are deeply grateful for a community that has stood with us for a decade. We look forward to the next ten years and to continuing to show up for one another, welcoming our neighbors as they find their footing and a sense of belonging here.
There is much to celebrate. There is even more to anticipate.
