Dear {{First Name}},

We’re celebrating graduations this month.  Ten former refugee high school students are graduating from ALLPS School of Innovation, Bentonville High School, Fayetteville High School, Siloam Springs High School and Springdale High School.  All these graduates have a plan that will support their futures and their families, either by heading to college, a trade school, or into jobs to support themselves and their families.

This May, five former refugee college students graduated with their Bachelor’s degrees from colleges and universities across Arkansas.   Another person earned an MBA. The work of welcome is generational change in action.  When these young adults arrived to Northwest Arkansas through Canopy as middle school or high school students, they would not have known that their future included being their family’s first college graduates.  We applaud all the graduates who have worked so hard and are going on to careers in engineering, public health, computer science, further education and following their dreams to make the world a better place.

Check out some highlights from  Canopy’s Youth Art Show earlier this month.  The young panelists shared their dreams to become future dentists, business owners, and teachers.  I can’t wait to see the positive impact these future leaders will bring to their community.

Congratulations, class of 2026!

When the Village Shows Up: Celebrating Six Remarkable Graduates

Last weekend, six former Canopy NWA clients graduated with college degrees in fields like engineering, public health, and business. Their journeys began in displacement and uncertainty, but through resilience and the support of community, they reached an incredible milestone.

In this reflection, Canopy’s Sr. Director of Partnerships, Khalid Ahmadzai, shares what their stories teach us about community and what becomes possible when people show up for one another.

Sewing Machines Now Accepted

We’re collecting sewing machine donations to support the women of Inspired Hands as they build skills, income, and independence through their work. New machines can be purchased via this link, and we also accept very gently used machines in
good working condition at our Fayetteville office.

These machines make a real impact, creating opportunities for economic stability. Follow @canopynwaentrepreneurship on Instagram to learn more and get involved.

Your gift empowers us to walk alongside our new neighbors toward long-term independence, helping shape the next 10 years of welcome.
